Benjamin Rose is a musician, event producer, drag artist, and content creator based in Madison, WI.
No matter the medium, Benjamin Rose (they/them/theirs) is first and foremost a storyteller. They graduated from Spring Arbor University (MI) in 2017 with a B.A. in Christian Ministry and came out as queer the same year. As a queer person of faith, they understand what it’s like to break down binaries and challenge expectations. Through their music, their writing, and their advocacy, they seek to tell the stories that have too often been sidelined.
Benjamin Rose is part of the indie rock band Kat and the Hurricane, but is also an accomplished singer-songwriter in their own right. They are the creator of the video series Queerful, which explores topics of social justice, spirituality, LGBTQ+ identity, and more. On their “off nights” they perform as Invertia, a genderqueer drag performer who won the title of Mx. Rock County (WI) Pride in 2019.
